Dr. Timothy A. Hirst, Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Timothy A. Hirst, D.C. graduated from Southern California University of Health Sciences.  There are only 3 of the 18 Chiropractic Colleges in the United States that bare the distinction of “University of Health Sciences" which defines it as an evidence based program rather than being a majority of philosophy based education as other schools offer. The other two recognized universities are North Western University of Health Sciences and National University of Health Sciences. These three universities are viewed by many practicing Chiropractic physicians as “the medical schools” of Chiropractic schooling.  These universities offer an extremely high level of education in hopes of molding the Chiropractic Physician of tomorrow.  They are fully accredited by regional accreditation associations recognized by the United States government, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges for SCUHS, and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools for NUHS respectively.

With this educated background Dr. Hirst is very capable of treating a variety of conditions. "Work changes every day, I enjoy the challenge of seeing a variety of conditions."

Dr. Hirst was born and raised in a farming community in Idaho. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University and earned his graduate degree at the University of Southern California Health Sciences. After graduate school, Dr. Hirst worked at chiropractic clinics in Queen Creek and Chandler. Using the management experience he gained at those offices, Dr. Hirst opened AZ Chiropractic in June of 2008.

When he was 15, Dr. Hirst was injured in an ATV accident and suffered from severe back pain. After a several visits to his family’s chiropractor, his pain was completely gone.  When I was a kid I always wanted to be a Veterinarian.  Through my experience with Chiropractic and getting to know more about the profession, it just seemed to fit.  Although I would have enjoyed working with animals, I love being a Chiropractor.  I get to help people everyday.  I have always enjoyed working with people,  I have the best job in the world.
